Centre Manager – Malekane Mall

About the role

The Centre Manager will oversee the operations and performance of Malekane Mall in Limpopo, ensuring safety, efficiency and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for the shopping centre.
• Monitor financial performance, identify cost‑saving opportunities and negotiate vendor contracts.
• Maintain strong tenant relationships, address concerns promptly and ensure lease compliance.
• Coordinate leasing activities, including tenant recruitment and onboarding.
• Develop and support marketing initiatives, promotional events and campaigns to attract customers.
• Analyse market trends and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
• Lead, train and supervise staff, conduct performance evaluations and ensure a high‑performing team.
• Act as a liaison with the local community and build positive stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail or property management or a related role.
• Understanding of local regulations, industry best practices and operational safety standards.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities and solve problems in a fast‑paced environment.
• Availability for full‑time hours, after‑hours emergencies and occasional weekend site visits.
• National Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering or Property Management.
• Qualification in Real Estate Management or a related field.
