About the role
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team as a Case Manager in Tokai, Cape Town. The role involves coordinating patient care with medical aid schemes, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting clinical teams in delivering high‑quality services.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
- Interact with patients and medical aid schemes to resolve queries.
- Obtain and process doctors’ letters, motivations and justifications for managed‑care requests.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including CPT and ICD‑10 coding.
- Update hospital information and manage case documentation.
- Provide support for hospital/medical‑aid scheme case management.
Required profile
- Qualified Registered Nurse registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and holding indemnity cover.
- Minimum three years of nursing experience in a multidisciplinary hospital setting.
- Experience in theatre and ICU environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hospital/medical‑aid scheme case management and minimum benefits scheme rules.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Required skills
- CPT coding.
- ICD‑10 coding.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Clinic Manager).
