Car Sales Executive – New & Used Vehicles (Umhlanga)

About the role

We are seeking motivated, customer‑focused Car Sales Executives to join a leading national automotive group at its Umhlanga showroom. The role involves guiding customers through the purchase of new and used vehicles, promoting the brand, and meeting monthly sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assess customer needs, advising on suitable vehicle options.
• Present and demonstrate new and used cars, highlighting features and benefits.
• Conduct test drives in accordance with dealership policies.
• Negotiate pricing, trade‑ins, finance options and close sales.
• Prepare quotations, finance applications and complete sales documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge of all models, promotions and competitor offerings.
• Build lasting customer relationships and provide after‑sales support.
• Generate new business through referrals, walk‑ins, online leads and cold calling.
• Ensure showroom and vehicle presentation standards are met.
• Record sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Car Sales Executive (new or used vehicles).
• Strong negotiation, persuasion and closing abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s licence (code 8/B) with a clean driving record.
• Professional, well‑groomed and customer‑oriented appearance.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve monthly targets.
• Computer literate and comfortable using CRM/sales systems.
