Car Rental Agent – Cape Town (Multiple Locations)

About the role

Join a leading car rental dealership network operating at Cape Town International Airport, Century City, Tygervalley (Bellville) and the City Centre. As a Car Rental Agent you will provide front‑line service to customers, manage reservations and ensure vehicles are ready for hire.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with vehicle selection, rates and rental terms, delivering excellent customer service throughout the process.
• Handle reservations, confirm bookings and coordinate pick‑up and drop‑off schedules.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after rentals, documenting any damage and reporting for maintenance.
• Prepare rental agreements, explain conditions and collect required documentation such as driver’s licences and payment details.
• Resolve customer inquiries, concerns and complaints promptly, escalating issues when necessary.

Required profile

• Matric certificate (must be produced).
• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and SA ID (copies required).
• Minimum two years experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Sales‑oriented, target‑driven attitude.
• Computer literacy and ability to use reservation systems.
• Own reliable transport to arrive punctually for shifts.
• Willingness to work rotating 9‑hour shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to wear the provided uniform (cost shared with employee).

• Basic computer skills.

What we offer

• Salary ranging from R8 500 to R10 000 per month, based on experience.
• Commission on additional sales, paid on a sliding‑scale performance basis.
