Capacity Planner – Production Scheduling

About the role

We are looking for a Capacity Planner to join our Taste business in Midrand. In this role you will coordinate short‑term production planning (0‑3 months) to ensure the right inventory levels and workforce are available to meet customer demand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop daily production schedules based on batch size, capacity, quality standards and raw‑material availability.
• Maintain a balanced production plan, ensuring correct load, PV, BOM, sequencing and tonality.
• Monitor non‑confirmed sales orders and MRP alerts (SAP MD07/APO) and confirm orders within 48 hours.
• Release quality‑checked planned orders and track process order status with supply‑chain stakeholders.
• Follow up customer orders through departure, manage reason codes and batch strategy compliance.
• Escalate order issues, support planning parameter adjustments and participate in operations projects.
• Keep inventory levels within budget while maximizing service and quality.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Mathematics or Economics.
• 2–3 years of production scheduling or planning experience, preferably with production‑process knowledge.
• Strong orientation to quality, continuous improvement and teamwork.
