Candidate Architect

About the role

The Candidate Architect will join Atelier Architects’ studio in Paarl, supporting the design and delivery of residential, commercial and industrial projects. This full‑time position involves working closely with senior architects and multidisciplinary teams to turn client visions into detailed, buildable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings and 3‑D models using ArchiCAD.
• Produce presentation graphics and visualisations in Photoshop.
• Coordinate technical details and assist with the integration of building systems.
• Ensure designs comply with South African building regulations and project standards.
• Participate in client meetings, incorporate feedback and refine design concepts.
• Help manage project timelines, documentation and deliverables.

Required profile

• Registered with SACAP and holding a recognised architectural degree.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD and Photoshop.
• Good knowledge of local building codes, standards and construction practices.
• Strong foundation in architectural design, spatial planning and technical detailing.
• Basic project‑management abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
