Candidate Architect – Full‑time (Paarl)

About the role

Atelier Architects is seeking a Candidate Architect to join its Paarl studio. The role is full‑time and involves supporting the design and delivery of residential, commercial and industrial projects from concept through to construction documentation. You will work closely with senior architects and project stakeholders to ensure design quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept sketches, 3D models and detailed architectural drawings.
• Prepare and coordinate technical details and building‑system integration.
• Ensure designs comply with South African building regulations and project standards.
• Participate in client meetings, incorporate feedback and refine design solutions.
• Assist in managing project timelines, documentation and multidisciplinary coordination.

Required profile

• Recognised architectural degree or equivalent qualification.
• Registration with SACAP.
• Knowledge of local building regulations, standards and construction practices in South Africa.
• Strong foundation in architectural design, spatial planning and technical detailing.
• Ability to organise tasks, meet deadlines and collaborate with diverse teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD.
• Proficiency in Photoshop.
