Call Centre Consultant - Travel Insurance

About the role

Santam Travel Insurance is looking for a Call Centre Consultant in Illovo to support customer service, insurance sales and administrative work in an inbound call centre. The consultant markets and sells short-term insurance products to clients and intermediaries, answers enquiries, gives accurate product information and handles policy administration.

Key responsibilities

• Answer customer enquiries and resolve verbal and written queries, whether by phone or face to face
• Provide accurate, factual information on insurance products and benefits in line with FAIS requirements
• Maintain excellent product knowledge of short-term insurance products
• Process documents such as policies, endorsements, quotations and supporting paperwork
• Support management and the sales team when needed

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in a call centre environment; outbound call centre experience is an advantage
• Matric or a suitable equivalent, RE5, and FAIS accreditation and RE1 for those who have worked in the financial industry
• Strong interpersonal, written and telephone communication skills and English proficiency
