CAD Technician – Automotive Service Documentation

About the role

The company is seeking a CAD Technician to support automotive service documentation. You will work on the design and integration of mechanical and electro‑mechanical equipment, producing both 3D and 2D drawings for sheet‑metal components, piping and related parts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D CAD models of sheet‑metal components, formed piping and other automotive parts.
• Create accurate 2D manufacturing drawings from 3D models.
• Set up and maintain bills of materials for drafted components.
• Perform CAD quality control and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
• Assist in planning, tracking and reporting drafting service activities.
• Handle general administrative tasks related to the drafting service.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Draughting or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience with 3D and 2D CAD in an automotive environment.
• Experience designing and integrating automotive components.
• South African citizenship.
