Business Manager - Financial Planning & Advisory

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for a Business Manager based in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. The role manages and grows an already successful team of financial advisors, including a National Top 50 advisor and two Regional Top 25 advisors, ensuring the team's profitability through results, resources and risk management within the area's business plan. It also contributes to the management of the geographical area as a member of the MANCO.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the application of the PFA sales process
• Manage existing business processes such as conservation, outstanding business, financing, administration and client care
• Work with successful and demanding financial advisors
• Coach and develop financial advisors and build a productive team
• Assist with general practice and recruit quality established advisors
• Recruit into the ACA team to build a pipeline of graduate advisors
• Develop and implement a local marketing plan

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent
• FAIS compliance with a Financial Planning certificate or equivalent qualification with at least 120 credits at NQF level 5
• PASSED RE 5 level 1
• Accredited on all PFA products and other optional products
• Preferably 24 months of service as a Financial Advisor; previous experience as a Sales Manager is preferable
• Strong administrative capabilities and comfort applying the sales process and the six-step financial process
