About the role
Indwe Risk Services is seeking a Business Insurance Manager for its Durban office. The role leads a commercial insurance team, focusing on client retention, growth of profitable accounts and acquisition of new business.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the commercial insurance team.
- Develop and implement strategies to retain and grow profitable client portfolios.
- Identify and acquire new commercial insurance business.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Monitor underwriting performance and manage risk exposure.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales functions to drive business development.
Required profile
- Matric (Level 4) with a Short Term Insurance qualification (Higher Certificate in Insurance).
- 7‑10 years of experience in commercial insurance, underwriting or brokerage.
- Strong leadership, analytical and negotiation abilities.
- Proven track record in sales and client relationship management.
