Business Development Representative – Telecom & VoIP

About the role

The Business Development Representative will drive sales of telecom and VoIP solutions for an established South African connectivity provider. Based in Cape Town, you will generate new leads, nurture client relationships and work towards a monthly revenue target of R50,000.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect businesses that require telecom, VoIP and unified communication services.
• Build and maintain relationships with IT managers, procurement teams and decision‑makers.
• Conduct product demonstrations of PBX systems, SIP trunks, call‑center software and other solutions.
• Negotiate contracts, propose competitive pricing packages and close sales.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM, including interactions, proposals and contracts.
• Achieve the monthly sales target of R50,000 in revenue.

Required profile

• Understanding of network infrastructure and VoIP codecs.
• Ability to learn and explain telecom products such as PBX, SIP trunks and call‑center platforms.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
• Experience maintaining CRM data and preparing usage or ROI reports.
