Business Development Representative – National

About the role

Right People Solutions, a provider of occupational health, safety, environment and quality risk management and training solutions, is looking for an experienced Business Development Representative to drive new business across South Africa and selected African markets. The role is senior and focuses on building strategic partnerships and securing long‑term service agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across African and international markets.
• Design and implement market expansion strategies and maintain a high‑value pipeline.
• Lead commercial negotiations with senior decision‑makers and prepare compelling proposals.
• Achieve regional business development targets and monitor market trends.
• Develop executive‑level relationships with key clients, partners and regional agents.
• Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis and contribute to regional strategy.
• Collaborate with operational teams on proposals, tenders and complex client solutions.
• Mentor regional sales representatives and ensure accurate pipeline reporting.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in business development, strategic sales or commercial leadership.
• Proven record of securing large‑scale contracts and driving revenue growth.
• Experience working across African markets, preferably in mining, industrial services, health & safety or infrastructure.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with excellent negotiation and executive communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with digital collaboration platforms.
