Business Development Manager

About the role

This Business Development Manager position is with a respected financial services organisation focused on empowering financial advisors through innovative solutions and technology. The role is based in Pretoria East and involves driving revenue growth, expanding the advisor network, and promoting digital adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 45 financial advisors.
• Develop and execute annual growth plans, targets and business development strategies.
• Identify cross‑selling and product adoption opportunities to increase revenue.
• Drive adoption of approved digital platforms and technologies to boost advisor productivity.
• Monitor advisor performance, address growth barriers and implement corrective actions.
• Recruit high‑quality financial advisors in line with strategic objectives.
• Facilitate onboarding, integration, development and performance management of advisors.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to uncover emerging opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, technology and operations teams to support growth initiatives.
• Deliver training, coaching and development support to advisors.
• Represent the business at industry events and maintain accurate pipeline, CRM and revenue reporting.
