About the role
Sanlam Private Wealth is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its client base and strengthen relationships with existing high‑net‑worth customers and intermediaries. You will leverage your network and sales expertise to drive growth across our wealth management solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Attract new business and increase retention of existing direct and intermediary clients.
- Source, introduce, and onboard new intermediaries for portfolio management.
- Meet profitable annual sales and monthly targets.
- Develop regional business through Sanlam Connect Advisers and Brokers.
- Implement and support an intermediary support model, including training and development.
- Represent Sanlam Private Wealth at strategic meetings and events.
- Support marketing initiatives and client value‑proposition implementation.
- Coordinate service‑level agreements and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Promote the use of digital tools and strategies.
Required profile
- Resilient and tenacious in a sales‑driven environment.
- Strong relationship‑building and client‑service orientation.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with innovative and problem‑solving abilities.
Required skills
- Relevant financial/investment qualification.
- Minimum five years’ experience in a distribution or intermediary environment.
- Proven sales success and track record.
- Technical knowledge of investment, fiduciary, tax, and lending solutions.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
