About the role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead enterprise sales for a unified payments and financial operations platform. This remote‑first role focuses on generating new business and expanding strategic accounts across South Africa, engaging directly with senior decision‑makers such as founders, CEOs, CFOs, and CTOs.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full enterprise sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and closing of complex deals.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop consultative, tailored sales strategies that address client challenges and demonstrate platform value.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless delivery and feedback.
- Contribute to sales playbook refinement, Ideal Customer Profile definition, and accurate forecasting.
Required profile
- Proven experience in enterprise or strategic B2B sales, preferably within fintech, payments, SaaS, or complex technology environments.
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Ability to manage long, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles and conduct technical evaluations.
- Highly proactive, self‑driven, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, ambiguous, remote setting.
- Strong commercial acumen with a bias toward action and continuous learning.
