Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding (5 positions)

About the role

Innovazi Consulting is looking for dynamic Business Development Managers to expand its freight forwarding division. You will be responsible for generating new air and sea freight business, delivering accurate cost estimates, and providing high‑level client service in a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new customers for air and sea freight services.
• Process credit applications and manage client onboarding.
• Develop and implement solutions for both new and existing clients.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with the quality management system.
• Report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and weekly call ratios.
• Cost freight movements, prepare service estimates, and conduct pricing analysis.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) and a 1‑year Sales & Marketing qualification (NQF Level 5).
• Minimum 5 years sales experience in a service industry, with at least 3 consecutive years in clearing & forwarding.
• Strong understanding of international trade practices, tariff calculations, Incoterms, and carrier/depot conditions.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and verifiable commission earnings.
