Business Development Manager - Africa (Dealer Development & Capital Equipment)

About the role

This Business Development Manager will lead the expansion of dealer and distributor networks across key African markets, including Angola, Nigeria, Kenya and West Africa. The role focuses on market development for a leading supplier of digital printing, industrial machinery and technology solutions, rather than traditional product sales.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and appoint new dealers and distributors in target African countries.
• Grow and support an existing dealer network, ensuring profitable business development.
• Develop long‑term strategic partnerships and assist dealers with sales strategy and market development.
• Provide technical and product training support, and coordinate with technical and customer support teams.
• Conduct regular dealer visits across Africa and represent the company at exhibitions, trade shows and customer events.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and drive direct sales opportunities when required.
• Achieve sales, growth and profitability targets set for the region.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and managing dealer or distributor networks in African markets.
• Successful track record selling capital equipment, industrial machinery or technical solutions.
• Strong commercial negotiation and relationship‑building skills with senior decision‑makers.
• Ability to work independently while travelling extensively across Africa.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently.
