Business Development Consultant – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

The Business Development Consultant will join Brolink’s Distribution Department in Centurion, reporting to the Executive Head of Distribution. The 12‑month fixed‑term role focuses on growing and managing a portfolio of insurance brokers to achieve gross written premium and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify market opportunities and develop business plans to acquire and activate new brokers.
• Retain and expand existing broker relationships to meet premium and profit goals.
• Maintain accurate sales pipelines and report on performance.
• Plan and execute regular broker visits across the allocated region, travelling extensively as required.
• Drive broker engagement initiatives, campaigns and growth programmes.
• Identify and develop strategic partnership opportunities.

Required profile

• Matric qualification and FAIS compliance.
• Minimum five years of commercial and personal lines experience with proven broker development and sales track record.
• Strong pipeline management, opportunity conversion and business development planning skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the region and hold a valid South African driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
