Business Consultant – Petroleum Industry

About the role

We are seeking a Business Consultant with proven experience in the petroleum sector to drive sales, budgeting and operational excellence across our retail fuel sites in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and North West.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor site budgets, set volume targets and analyse performance against forecasts.
• Lead initiatives to grow fuel and non‑fuel sales, including convenience store and car‑wash offerings.
• Coordinate fuel supply, logistics and equipment maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Enforce credit limits, collect payments and ensure financial compliance at retailer locations.
• Act as primary liaison with retailers, resolve operational and financial issues, and uphold brand standards.
• Support marketing campaigns, analyse results and implement localized promotions.
• Organise mandatory training, monitor service quality through mystery shopper reports and manage escalated customer complaints.
• Prepare and submit operational reports, incident logs and compliance documentation to senior management.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification plus a relevant Business or Marketing certificate, or a minimum of five years’ business consulting experience in the petroleum industry.
• Willingness to travel extensively across multiple sites.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales data and financial reports.
