Business Consultant – Commercial Lines Integration

About the role

Join Santam’s Business Solutions team as a Business Consultant within the Business Integration unit, supporting Commercial Lines. Based in Sandton, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring system enhancements and new developments are tested, documented, and rolled out effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct system testing for commercial policy enhancements across internal and external platforms.
• Process system changes on Santam administration systems and manage related user queries.
• Log and track IT change requests originating from the business.
• Maintain and align commercial line data on external systems, including rating tables, excess tables, postal codes, and business rules.
• Coordinate internal and outsourced testing, obtain sign‑off, and support rollout activities.
• Perform general administrative duties and contribute to project work as required.

Required profile

• Results‑oriented, deadline‑driven and self‑motivated.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and follow established procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic project management capability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Experience using Confluence and Jira.
• Working knowledge of external third‑party short‑term insurance systems (advantageous).
