Business Banker – Private Enterprises

About the role

Capitec is seeking an energetic Business Banker to join its business centre team. You will be responsible for delivering sales and service to a portfolio of business clients, helping them grow through tailored banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Retain and expand a portfolio of business customers by identifying and offering appropriate banking products.
• Prepare and motivate credit applications, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
• Manage cost control and sales targets for the business banking segment.
• Interpret financial statements, balance sheets and key ratios to assess client needs.
• Stay informed on competitor offerings, regulatory changes and taxation laws affecting small enterprises.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of banking experience, preferably in business banking.
• Experience managing a portfolio of business customers with a focus on service and financial analysis.
• Diploma in Commerce or Finance; FAIS accreditation is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of CRM principles, collateral management, and legal entity structures.
• Clear criminal and credit record and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
