Business Analyst – Industrial Engineer

About the role

Cartrack Pty Ltd is seeking a Business Analyst with an industrial engineering background to drive continuous improvement across its logistics network in Cape Town. The role focuses on delivering operational insights, building analytical tools, and supporting senior management with data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct logistics network studies to identify optimal strategies, resource needs and cost benefits.
• Develop and maintain a driver‑planning tool based on client forecasts.
• Build simulation models to evaluate the impact of change initiatives on service levels and cost.
• Analyse data to uncover trends, inefficiencies and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Standardise, automate and present KPI and activity reports using Excel, Power BI and SQL.
• Map and streamline administrative processes, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Support ad‑hoc business queries, project evaluations and stakeholder communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (minimum).
• 5–7 years of experience in supply‑chain or logistics‑related business functions.
• Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate Power BI.
• Basic SQL querying.
