Brand Communications Manager – Running & Outdoor (EM South)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Brand Communications Manager to lead the Running & Outdoor portfolio across Emerging Markets South. Reporting to the Global and EM Hub teams, you will shape and execute a regional brand strategy that aligns with global direction while reflecting local market nuances.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive an integrated brand strategy for the Running category in collaboration with Global, EM Hub and local teams.
• Plan, coordinate and execute the local Running Brand Activation calendar, ensuring alignment with key brand priorities.
• Manage EM South communities, budgets, contracts, agency relationships and activation delivery.
• Create brand communication plans for adidas‑sponsored properties, events and athlete partnerships.
• Oversee the Running Marketing Working Budget (MWB), conduct pre‑ and post‑spend ROI analysis, and maximize investment returns.
• Lead consumer and market research to inform strategic decisions.
• Monitor brand health and KPI performance, providing clear direction to PR, Sports Marketing and other cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with the Sports Marketing Manager to integrate running partners into key brand moments.

Required profile

• University degree in Business or Marketing.
• 7‑10 years of brand marketing experience, preferably with a global sports or lifestyle brand.
• Deep knowledge of the brand communication mix (media, events, sponsorship, retail, PR) and the local running and youth culture landscape.
• Proven leadership in a matrix environment and experience managing external agencies and partners.
• Strong budget management capabilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
