Branch Manager (Vosloorus Chris Hani Crossing)

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for a Branch Manager for its OMF branch at Vosloorus Chris Hani Crossing. The role manages a small to medium-sized team of advisors who develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients to stimulate and manage demand for financial products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate the local action plan, link it to the function's strategy and the organisation's mission and vision, and motivate the team to achieve local business goals.
• Develop and run a relationship management plan for existing accounts, collect customer feedback and turn it into themes, summaries and recommendations for change.
• Identify complex standard products and services that meet customer needs, present them clearly and refer to senior colleagues when asking for concessions such as price reductions.
• Generate sales opportunities through referrals, existing customers and trade shows and conferences.
• Monitor personal and team performance, allocate work, review completion and take corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality.
• Provide operational support and sometimes act as first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area, using existing systems and protocols.
• Deliver specialised support for key accounts, respond to complex customer inquiries and act as first point of contact for queries and complaints.
• Develop a customer contact plan to promote product launches and sales campaigns, and track budgets and report variances.
• Coach team members to develop their skills.

Required profile

• NQF Level 4, Grade 12, school leaving certificate, national or occupational certificate or equivalent (required).
