Bookkeeper to Trial Balance

About the role

Stallion Integrated is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage the trial balance process and ensure the integrity of the company's financial records. The role combines general ledger maintenance, payroll processing, and compliance oversight to support accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Process cash book entries, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Prepare and submit periodic financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• Process invoices, bills, and expenses promptly, maintaining payable and receivable ledgers.
• Oversee payroll processing, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, and manage employee benefits such as medical aid and pension.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and other financial legislation.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to align with company financial goals.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and records.
• Monitor cash flow and implement controls to mitigate financial risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting or Financial Management.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record‑keeping.
• Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
