Bookkeeper – School Campus Finance

About the role

A growing educational group is seeking a Bookkeeper to support its new campuses in the Western Cape. Based on the school site, you will report to the School Principal and the central Accountant, handling the day‑to‑day finances as the campus expands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage school fee collections, invoicing, receipting, debtor management and respond to parent queries.
• Perform high‑volume bank reconciliations and process all accounts payable and general fund payments.
• Assist with flash reporting, cash‑flow monitoring and budget tracking.
• Provide financial and administrative support to the School Principal to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintain compliance with financial policies, audit requirements and data confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• ICB certification or National Diploma in Financial Accounting.
• At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in an educational or similar environment.
• Proven ability to handle high‑volume reconciliations, creditors and debtors.
• Own reliable transport and willingness to work fully on‑site.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software/systems.

What we offer

• CTC between R17,000 and R25,000 per month, commensurate with experience.
