Bookkeeper

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, preparing financial reports and supporting the operations team with accurate financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Collate, prepare and interpret financial reporting for management.
• Review and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Perform inventory valuation and verify count sheets.
• Ensure tax compliance and adherence to statutory regulations.
• Support audit processes and guarantee completion of financial statements.
• Manage budgets, conduct variance analysis and implement internal controls.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Liaise with the operations team to provide financial insights.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts.
• Experience with Sage 50, Sage 200 or comparable accounting systems.
• Background in FMCG, fast‑food or retail sectors.
• Effective communication across all organisational levels.
• International bookkeeping experience is a plus.
