Boiler Operator

About the role

Meadow Feeds is seeking a reliable Boiler Operator to join our Standerton plant. You will be responsible for ensuring a steady steam supply that supports our high‑performance feed production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the boiler to maintain consistent steam output.
• Manage coal, feed‑water and chemical‑dosing systems to provide the correct fuel, air and water flow.
• Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance and cleaning of the boiler and related equipment.
• Report leaks, defects and any abnormalities promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean and compliant boiler‑house environment in line with OHS and quality standards.
• Complete operational logs, checklists and records, and report issues to the supervisor.
• Train the Boiler Assistant on applicable operating duties.

Required profile

• Matric (high school) qualification.
• Own reliable transport.
• Completed Boiler Operating Course.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
