Billing Supervisor

About the role

Fidelity Services Group is looking for a Billing Supervisor in Johannesburg to lead a team of billing clerks. The position is permanent and sits in the finance function of the security and investigations business.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise billing clerks and use metrics to improve team performance
• Oversee daily, weekly and monthly billing runs and review invoices for errors before delivery
• Ensure daily adjustments to the integrator system are made and assist with billing runs when needed
• Audit debit order deduction requests from customers and process and monitor credit memos
• Train staff and cater to their individual training needs
• Maintain and update the customer database and prepare monthly or periodic billing reports
• Identify simplification and automation opportunities, and initiate new billing procedures
• Ensure compliance with control objectives and support internal and external auditors
• Resolve customer queries within agreed SLAs and give feedback to banks and regions
• Meet individual and departmental targets and take part in ad-hoc projects

Required profile

• Matric
• At least 5 years of billing experience
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication and telephone skills
• Excel (essential)
• Reconciliation and strong attention to detail
• Analytical skills and ability to report findings to management
