Beauty Advisor – Retail (Cape Town)

About the role

The Beauty Advisor will work in Clicks’ beauty department, providing professional advice on beauty and skincare products while delivering exceptional customer service. Reporting to the Store Manager, the role focuses on driving sales, maintaining product knowledge and ensuring a tidy, well‑presented store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Consult customers, answer product questions and recommend suitable beauty and skincare items.
• Promote, cross‑sell and up‑sell to meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
• Monitor product performance, suggest improvements and support merchandising standards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of trends, promotions and new product ranges.
• Manage stock, minimise shrinkage and ensure accurate inventory records.
• Uphold visual merchandising and housekeeping standards within the department.
• Promote the Clicks Clubcard and enrol new members to achieve participation goals.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Grade 12.
• Relevant beauty or skincare qualification is desirable.
• Experience in beauty, skincare, retail, FMCG, sales or marketing is an advantage.

Required skills

• Understanding of selling principles and customer‑service excellence.
• Retail/FMCG background with knowledge of merchandising and promotions.
• Familiarity with stock‑management procedures.
• Good knowledge of beauty and skincare product ranges.
