Barista – Winelands (Western Cape)

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Barista to join our team in the Winelands region of the Western Cape. The successful candidate will prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, ensuring each guest enjoys a high‑quality drinking experience in a clean and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly and professionally.
• Provide beverage menus, answer ingredient queries and take accurate orders, noting guest preferences.
• Prepare coffee, tea and other drinks according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic bar area, including crockery and work surfaces.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct regular counts and place weekly orders for supplies.
• Check brewing equipment for proper operation and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and uphold personal hygiene and uniform standards.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Preferably 2–3 years of barista experience.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to interact with distinguished clientele.
• Professional appearance and flexibility to work various shifts.

Required skills

• Brewing equipment operation.
• Basic mathematics.
