About the role
The Capital Hotels is seeking a Banqueting Waiter to deliver friendly, fast, and efficient food and beverage service for conferences and functions. You will be part of a team that values dignity, integrity, and a strong staff culture.
Key responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to guests in conference and function areas.
- Set up and break down function spaces, ensuring all equipment and décor are arranged correctly.
- Manage front‑of‑house operations, including greeting guests and maintaining a clean service area.
- Monitor and replenish stock levels for service stations.
- Work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Required profile
- Matric qualification.
- Hospitality qualification or equivalent.
- 1–2 years experience as a Banqueting Waiter or similar role.
- Hands‑on problem‑solving ability and calmness under pressure.
- Team player who can also work independently.
- Honest, trustworthy, and detail‑oriented.
- Presentable appearance and clear communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts.
