Band 7 Rotational Pharmacist – Aberdeen Hospitals

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated pharmacist to join our Band 7 rotational team. Based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, you will rotate through several NHS Grampian hospitals, gaining experience across a wide range of pharmacy specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in rotations covering medicine, oncology, surgery, paediatrics, aseptic dispensing, medicines information, dispensary, radiopharmacy and quality assurance.
• Provide training and support to junior colleagues and pharmacy students.
• Join the on‑call rota after an initial settling‑in period, with training provided.
• Contribute to the delivery of safe, effective pharmacy services across all participating sites.

Required profile

• Qualified pharmacist registered with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Ambitious, motivated and able to work in a fast‑moving hospital environment.
• Willingness to undertake on‑call duties and rotate between multiple sites.
• Commitment to continuous professional development within the post‑registration foundation framework.
