Backend Engineer - Wallets

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer specialized in Wallets to help shape the future of decentralized finance. You will design and maintain high‑performance backend services that power secure digital asset solutions for users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services for wallet infrastructure and digital asset operations.
• Build and optimise micro‑services capable of handling large‑scale real‑time transactions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver innovative backend solutions aligned with product and business goals.
• Implement and enforce platform security best practices to protect user assets and system integrity.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Work with databases and distributed systems to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and synchronization.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues while identifying optimisation opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience with Node.js and JavaScript backend development.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and scalable distributed systems.
• Experience building high‑availability backend platforms.
• Familiarity with peer‑to‑peer technologies and decentralized systems.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
• Strong grasp of backend security principles and secure coding practices.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, especially within remote international teams.
