Backend Engineer - C# / .NET

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer with strong C# and .NET expertise to join a fast‑paced team building scalable, high‑performance services. The role is remote with the possibility of relocation to the UAE and focuses on fintech, payments or e‑commerce platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services using C# and .NET.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture.
• Implement solutions on Microsoft Azure, including security, messaging and configuration services.
• Write unit and integration tests and ensure code quality.
• Debug, troubleshoot and optimise performance of existing services.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching strategies and data modelling.
• Containerise applications with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and collaborate with QA, DevOps and frontend teams.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional software development experience, primarily backend.
• Proven experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Docker; Kubernetes is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of SQL databases and exposure to NoSQL solutions.
