Backend Developer – Payments & Gaming Integrations

About the role

Sun International is looking for a Backend Developer to design, build and maintain services that power its payment processing and gaming provider integrations. You will work under the guidance of senior technical leads, contributing to a high‑availability, secure platform in a regulated iGaming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Node.js/NestJS micro‑services using TypeScript.
• Implement and support REST API integrations and webhook handling for payment and gaming partners.
• Write and optimise SQL Server queries, stored procedures and basic indexing.
• Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing with Jest and Supertest.
• Collaborate with DevOps to maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and containerised deployments.
• Apply security best practices for authentication, encryption and data protection.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Development or related field.
• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proven ability to work in an Agile team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
