Automotive Workshop Repair Assistant – 3‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

The Repair Assistant supports technicians and workshop management in a busy automotive repair shop located in Century City, Cape Town. This three‑month fixed‑term position offers hands‑on experience with vehicle preparation, tool handling, and shop housekeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for service, including positioning and safety checks.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and organise tools and equipment.
• Assist technicians with routine tasks and movement of customer vehicles.
• Follow workshop procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate (preferred).
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence (preferred).
• Previous experience in an automotive workshop or similar environment.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of motor vehicles and workshop operations.
• Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Basic computer literacy.
