ATM Technician

About the role

Our client is looking for a skilled ATM Technician to join their Randburg‑based team. The role involves installing, maintaining, servicing and repairing ATMs at client sites across South Africa, with extensive travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission ATMs at customer locations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of ATM equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and software faults, including card readers, cash dispensers, printers and screens.
• Carry out software updates and system upgrades as needed.
• Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns within agreed service levels.
• Complete testing, quality checks and documentation after each job.
• Liaise professionally with clients and provide technical support.
• Manage tools, spare parts and equipment efficiently.
• Travel extensively throughout South Africa to attend client sites.

Required profile

• Grade 12/Matric certificate; relevant diploma (N4‑N6) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT or Mechatronics is advantageous.
• 2‑3 years of experience in ATM servicing, field service, electronics or a similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of electronic and mechanical systems and fault‑finding techniques.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable transport and willingness to travel extensively.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and work after hours when required.
