Associate Professor/Professor & Deputy Dean – Teaching & Learning (Term)

About the role

The University of Pretoria, one of South Africa’s leading research‑intensive universities, is seeking an Associate Professor/Professor to serve as Deputy Dean for Teaching and Learning in its Faculty of Law. The Faculty of Law comprises over 70 full‑time academics, multiple specialised centres and a strong focus on socially relevant legal research and education. The successful candidate will join a vibrant community that contributes to 14 % of South Africa’s annual university degrees and hosts a significant number of NRF‑rated researchers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership for teaching and learning within the Faculty of Law.
• Support the Dean as Deputy Dean in strategic, operational and curriculum matters.
