Associate Director of Sales – South Africa

About the role

RateGain is seeking a highly driven Associate Director of Sales to lead business growth across South Africa for its Sojern and RateGain solutions. You will be responsible for expanding market presence, promoting a full portfolio of AI‑powered SaaS products, and accelerating revenue within the hospitality and travel ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and market penetration for Sojern and RateGain offerings across South Africa.
• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with hotel groups, independent hotels, chains, tourism boards, and travel ecosystem partners.
• Own the complete sales cycle from prospecting and presentations to commercial negotiations and deal closure.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to meet quarterly and annual revenue targets.
• Promote solutions such as Digital Marketing, Smart Distribution, Channel Management, Rate Intelligence, CRS/Connectivity, and Revenue Optimization.
• Strengthen local partnerships with hospitality associations, tourism organisations, OTAs, and technology partners.

Required profile

• Highly driven and strategic mindset.
• Proven experience in business development and sales growth within the hospitality or travel sector.
• Ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
• Strong partnership and stakeholder management skills, working with hotel partners, tourism boards, OTAs, and technology providers.
