Associate Cybersecurity Consultant – Sandton, Johannesburg

About the role

The Associate Cybersecurity Consultant will work on solving complex security challenges for clients on a daily basis. You will conduct penetration testing, security assessments and targeted attack simulations while contributing to ongoing security research.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security assessments across diverse systems, environments and technologies.
• Deliver tailored, pragmatic security advice to multiple stakeholder levels.
• Scope and manage projects to align expectations with client needs.
• Conduct penetration testing and multi‑month attack simulations.
• Contribute to research, tooling development and continuous service improvement.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and the broader security community.

Required profile

• Associate‑grade consultant experience in cybersecurity.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer/electronic engineering, computer science or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for security, hacking and problem solving.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to identify valuable work while seeking guidance when needed.
• Previous experience conducting security assessments (preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSEP or OSWE (preferred).

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of R360,000 – R680,000 per annum.
