Assistant Tasting Room Manager

About the role
The wine estate seeks an energetic and professional Assistant Tasting Room Manager to support daily operations of its tasting room. You will help lead the team, drive wine sales, and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable experience.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in managing all tasting room activities and staff scheduling.
- Deliver excellent customer service and oversee wine tastings.
- Handle stock control, cash handling, and sales reporting.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance of tasting room personnel.
- Build relationships with guests, hotels, restaurants, and local businesses.
- Coordinate special events and maintain the room’s cleanliness and presentation.
- Help achieve sales targets and uphold health and safety standards.
Required profile
- Matric certificate and a Hospitality Diploma or related qualification.
- Wine qualification or WSET certificate is advantageous.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar hospitality or wine‑related role.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
Required skills
- Proficiency with POS systems.
