Assistant Manager – Salon Operations

About the role

We are looking for a warm, confident, organised, and highly professional Assistant Manager to join our busy, fast‑growing salon in Sea Point, Cape Town. You will support the Salon Manager in daily operations, ensuring exceptional client service and smooth salon performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day salon operations.
• Assist with staff management, scheduling, and performance support.
• Handle client queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
• Manage stock levels, process orders, and organise the stockroom.
• Support ongoing training and development of the team.
• Maintain salon cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards.
• Assist with cash‑ups, reporting, and basic admin tasks.

Required profile

• 1–2 years experience in a supervisory or management role (beauty industry an advantage).
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Confident managing a team in a high‑volume environment.
• Passionate about beauty, customer service, and team development.
