Assistant Manager – Highveld Mall

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to lead the daily operations of our CUM Books store at Highveld Mall, eMalahleni (Witbank). The role combines customer service excellence with staff leadership to ensure a smooth, profitable retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and oversee all store operations, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Lead, supervise and motivate a retail team, providing training and performance guidance.
• Manage store budget, monitor costs and drive cost‑efficiency.
• Control stock levels, conduct inventory checks and coordinate replenishment.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve complaints promptly.
• Plan and execute in‑store promotions and merchandising initiatives.
• Stay informed on market trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and legal regulations.
• Prepare regular reports and feedback for senior management.
