Assistant Internal Auditor Manager

About the role

Join a growing professional services firm specialising in risk assurance, internal audit and advisory services. As an Assistant Internal Auditor Manager you will lead engagements, influence executives, develop teams and help expand a consulting practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead internal audit, risk assurance and advisory engagements from planning through to completion.
• Independently manage audit engagements, ensuring quality, timelines and budgets are achieved.
• Review audit working papers and financial reporting documentation, resolve complex auditing, accounting and risk matters.
• Maintain strong engagement governance, profitability and high‑quality reporting.
• Act as primary client contact, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and identify opportunities for additional advisory services.
• Lead, coach and mentor audit professionals, conduct performance management and support talent development.

Required profile

• Honours degree in Finance, Business, Auditing, Risk Management or related field (non‑negotiable).
• 7‑10 years of internal audit and risk management experience, with at least 2‑3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to independently manage audit engagements and strong client relationship management.
• Consulting and advisory experience, with exposure to business development.
• Comfortable engaging with senior executives and translating technical findings into practical recommendations.
