Architectural Technologist / Draughtsperson (Junior)

About the role

Smart Solution Architecture (SSARC) is seeking a motivated Candidate Architectural Technologist or Architectural Draughtsperson to join our Hermanus office. You will be involved in the full design lifecycle, from concept development to construction documentation, on a variety of residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare municipal submission packages and detailed construction drawings.
• Develop design documentation using ArchiCAD.
• Collaborate with senior architects and engineers to ensure compliance with the National Building Regulations (SANS 10400).
• Produce visualisations and presentations, optionally using Lumion or Twinmotion.
• Maintain accurate technical records and support project coordination.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Architecture or Architectural Draughting.
• 1–2 years of practical experience in an architectural practice (preferred).
• Preference for candidates based in the Western Cape.
• SACAP Candidate registration preferred for technologists.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD (essential).
• Experience with Lumion or Twinmotion (advantageous).
• Knowledge of the National Building Regulations (SANS 10400).
• Strong technical drawing abilities.
