Architectural Specification Sales Representative – Johannesburg

About the role

Our client, a leading supplier of innovative architectural and interior products, is looking for a motivated Architectural Specification Sales Representative to join their Johannesburg team. You will be the bridge between the company’s product range and key design professionals, ensuring products are specified on commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and represent the company’s product ranges to architects, interior designers, developers, project managers and other design professionals.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with architectural practices, interior design firms and commercial developers across Johannesburg and surrounding areas.
• Manage the full specification process from initial engagement to project completion, securing product inclusion in documentation and tenders.
• Conduct client visits, product presentations, lunch‑and‑learn and CPD sessions for design practices.
• Provide technical product advice, selection assistance, compliance information and installation recommendations.
• Track projects through concept, design, tender, procurement and installation stages, liaising with contractors, quantity surveyors and procurement teams.
• Identify new business opportunities, maintain a pipeline in the CRM system and generate leads through networking, events and referrals.
• Prepare quotations, supply samples, technical literature and collaborate with internal sales, customer service and operations teams.

Required profile

• Highly motivated and relationship‑driven professional.
• Proven ability to develop and sustain relationships with architects, interior designers, quantity surveyors, project managers and developers.
• Strong understanding of commercial architectural and interior design markets.

Required skills

• Experience using a CRM system to manage pipelines and opportunities.
