Architect – Commercial Projects (Cape Town)

About the role

Our client, an independent architectural practice, is looking for an experienced Architect to join their Cape Town and Johannesburg teams. You will work on high‑profile commercial projects, shaping design concepts through to construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative architectural designs for commercial developments.
• Prepare design presentations, technical documentation and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and project teams throughout all project phases.
• Manage project deliverables, ensuring design quality and technical standards are met.
• Provide guidance during design and construction, taking ownership of project outcomes.

Required profile

• Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Registered with SACAP as a Professional Architect or eligible for registration.
• Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably on large‑scale commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, documentation and project delivery.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (essential).
