Apprentice Technician – Service & Installation (Johannesburg)

About the role

Join Teraoka SA as an Apprentice Technician in Johannesburg, supporting service calls, installations, label deliveries, and cheque collections across the branch’s geographic area. You will apply SABS Quality Procedures daily while gaining hands‑on experience with scale verification and equipment maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service calls, installations, label deliveries, and cheque collections as scheduled.
• Diagnose and repair equipment issues logged in the service system.
• Act as Verification Officer, ensuring scales are verified and sealed according to NRCS/SABS standards.
• Order required spares through the Service Manager and install software on new sites.
• Maintain Service Level Agreements with corporate customers and sell labels/equipment where appropriate.
• Conduct 6‑monthly preventative maintenance on contracted scales and maintain standard equipment per TSA guidelines.
• Report completed calls to the branch and helpdesk.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification with Mathematics and Physical Science.
• Age between 18 and 28 years.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle.
